Along with increase in life expectancy and frailty, falls are a major health issue in older population.
It is far more common in people with cognitive impairment and dementia than in those without dementia. A multifactorial assessment for falls for individual resident is conducted regularly to reveal areas where risk is heightened and where care modifications can be made to mitigate this risk. Our falls reduction programme is led by an experienced physiotherapist who has years of background in providing care to older people.
