A person-centred care is at the heart of Cowper Care’s ethos. Person-centred care means seeing the person with dementia as a unique individual with a rich history, experiences, abilities, skills, knowledge, preferences, desires and personality.

It is about engaging with the person and supporting what they can do, building on their strengths and working together in finding ways to compensate for the losses brought about by their illness. We have a dedicated and trained dementia care team, always a familiar face ready to help and support our residents.
