The Joint Commission National Quality Approval
At Cowper Care we pride ourselves on being the only nursing home group in Ireland to hold the prestigious JCI Accreditation - The Gold Standard of Care. We belong to an elite group of 21 long-term care providers globally who hold this recognition. Having consistently held this worldwide accreditation since 2016 is a testament to the standards we abide by and in turn the level of care we provide to our residents.
What is the Gold Seal of Approval?
The Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation is recognised as the gold standard of care and safety in the international healthcare community. Any organisation meeting its accreditation standard is awarded a Gold Seal of Approval®—a distinguished symbol of accomplishing all standards.
JCI accreditation provides several benefits to both residents and their loved ones some of which are:
- Trust that we strictly adhere to delivering quality resident care, safety, and complete support.
- The certification facilitates continuous quality improvement in the delivery of better, more consistent, and safer healthcare.
- The certification allows us to evaluate, measure, and improve the quality of our services.
- The certification enables us to recruit the most skilled clinical staff and help meet public health demands.
- The implementation of standards helps us improve, structure, and standardise a wide range of clinical processes, including admission, resident care planning, assessment, and management of facilities.
The adventurous voyage towards us achieving and maintaining our Joint Commission International accreditation has enthused us, both as Care Providers and Care Givers, to excel in our various roles. It has also led us, as an organisation, to question, review, and revise many of our systems, procedures, and practices. This exercise is seen as our aspiration to excellence as an organisation rather than an attempt at compliance with regulations.
