Charges

Although we are a charity, we must recover the cost of operating our nursing home from the charges we make to our residents and day attendees. As a charity, we are not allowed make a private profi t. Any surplus that exists at the end of a year is used directly for the benefi t of our residents and the development of our services. For example last year we purchased of a mini-bus to facilitate outings, arranged numerous day trips and had a great party at St. Patrick’s day.

State Financial Assistance

The State, through the Health Service Executive, may provide fi nancial assistance to people whose care and welfare needs require nursing home care and whose means and circumstances are insuffi cient to afford such care. Application for assistance under the Nursing Home Assistance Scheme – the ‘Fair Deal’ – should be made to the HSE. We will assist with this application on request.
